Cort built the GOLD-A6-NAT as part of its Gold series, a line centred on the Aged to Vintage (ATV) treatment applied to the solid Sitka spruce top. The ATV process functions as a torrefaction method, intended to accelerate the curing and opening of the top material over time. The GOLD-A6-NAT occupied a position in the Gold series defined by its all-solid tonewoods and electronics-equipped Grand Auditorium body with a single cutaway.
The torrefied solid Sitka spruce top is paired with solid African Mahogany (Okoume) back and sides, and a Mahogany (Palaquium) neck joins the body via a Double-Lock Neck Joint. The fretboard and bridge are both Macassar Ebony, with 20 frets across a 643mm (25.3") scale. The 45mm (1¾") nut width and deluxe vintage gold tuners are notable reference points for owners sourcing replacement hardware. Binding is black with triple-ply purfling, the rosette is abalone, and the inlay is Gold Custom MOP. A Sonically Enhanced UV finish was applied over the Natural Glossy presentation of this variant. Electronics are handled by a Fishman® Flex Blend system, which incorporates a built-in tuner and an internal microphone alongside the standard undersaddle pickup blending capability. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario EXP16 Light strings.
Owners seeking replacement parts — including the Macassar Ebony bridge saddle, Fishman Flex Blend components, or tuner buttons compatible with the deluxe vintage gold machines — should consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician for sourcing guidance and setup work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
