Cort built the GA-PF-BEVEL-NAT as part of the Grand Regal Series, positioning it as a Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric with a Venetian cutaway and a set of premium tonewoods. A beveled armrest cut into the body top was a defining feature of this model, addressing playing comfort alongside its sonic and aesthetic aims.
The top is solid Sitka Spruce joined to an arched Pau Ferro back with Pau Ferro sides. Cort's source material describes Pau Ferro as exhibiting characteristics of Rosewood, Ebony and Maple, with a powerful fundamental sound and subdued overtones, and notes the wood's rich striped appearance. The neck is Mahogany (Palaquium), joined to the body by a dovetail neck joint, and carries an Ovangkol fretboard with 20 frets over a 643mm (25.3") scale. The nut width is 43mm (1 11/16"). Hardware includes die-cast gold tuners with black knobs, an abalone rosette, an Ovangkol bridge with ebony pins, and black binding throughout. Electronics are handled by an L.R. Baggs® EAS-VTC system. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario® EXP16 strings.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — particularly bridge pins, nut blanks, or saddle stock — should cross-reference the stated dimensions before purchasing. For setup adjustments, intonation work, or electronics servicing, consulting a qualified guitar technician is recommended.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
