Cort built the G100-OPW as an entry point in the G Series, a double-cutaway electric guitar line the company positioned as a modern take on classic vintage proportions. The G Series was designed to retain familiar characteristics of the double-cutaway form while accommodating a wide range of playing styles.
The G100-OPW was constructed with a bolt-on Hard Maple neck in a C profile, a Meranti body, and a Jatoba fretboard with a 305mm (12") radius, 22 frets, and dot inlays. The 42mm (1.65") nut width and 648mm (25.5") scale length are standard reference points for setup and string gauging. Powersound single-coil pickups were fitted to deliver the clean, articulate tones associated with vintage rock, blues, pop, and country. Hardware throughout is chrome, with die-cast tuners and a fixed bridge.
