Cort built the G100-OPB as an entry point in the G Series, a double-cutaway electric guitar line the company positioned as a modern take on classic double-cutaway design. The G Series was conceived as an evolution of what Cort described as "vintage" characteristics, retaining familiar visual and ergonomic conventions while updating them for contemporary production.
The G100 was fitted with Powersound single-coil pickups, which Cort specified for classic tones suited to vintage rock, blues, pop, and country playing styles. The bolt-on Hard Maple neck carries a C profile and meets a Jatoba fretboard with a 305mm (12") radius, 22 frets, and dot inlays. Nut width is 42mm (1.65"), scale length is 648mm (25.5"), and the Meranti body pairs with a fixed bridge and chrome hardware including die-cast tuners. The Open Pore Black finish is the identifying feature of this SKU within the G100 range.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the 42mm nut width, 25.5" scale, and standard fixed bridge format are broadly compatible with widely available aftermarket components; a guitar technician can confirm fit for specific bridge saddles, tuner bushings, or nut blanks.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
