Cort built the LCJ-WA-OP as part of the Little CJ Series, a line of 3/4 Jumbo acoustics designed for portability without sacrificing professional-level appointments. The model sat above the CJ Mini OP in the range, distinguished by its walnut back and sides and an open pore finish.
The body pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with walnut back and sides, the latter formed with an arched back construction that Cort specified for both player comfort and acoustic effect. Advanced X-Bracing supports the top. The mahogany (Palaquium) neck is profiled in a V-shape and joins the body via a dovetail neck joint, meeting a 43mm nut and an Ovangkol fretboard across a 597mm (23.5") scale length over 20 frets. Hardware includes vintage open-gear tuners, a multiple-ring rosette, and black binding with white purfling. The Ovangkol bridge anchors D'Addario EXP16 strings from the factory. Fishman Presys II electronics are fitted as standard. The instrument was supplied with a gig bag.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including the Ovangkol bridge saddle, Fishman Presys II components, or tuner buttons compatible with the vintage open-gear machines — are advised to consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician for correct fit against the 23.5" scale and 43mm nut width.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
