Cort built the EARTH70-BR as part of its Earth Series, a line conceived as a tribute to vintage acoustic guitars. The Earth Series was positioned to deliver the look, sound, feel, and playability associated with those instruments, and the EARTH70 sat within that line as an entry point combining classic tonewoods with a dreadnought body configuration suited to both flatpicking and fingerstyle approaches.
The EARTH70-BR is built around a solid spruce top braced with Advanced Scalloped X-Bracing, joined to African Mahogany (Okoume) back and sides via a dovetail neck joint. The neck is Mahogany (Palaquium), topped with an Ovangkol fretboard carrying 20 frets, white dot inlays, and a 43mm nut. Scale length is 643mm (25.3"). The Ovangkol bridge is complemented by ivory body binding and a multiple rosette. The instrument ships strung with D'Addario EXP16 strings. Left-handed and 12-string variants were also produced in this line.
