Cort built the AF590-MF-BOP as part of its Standard Series acoustic range, positioning it as a concert-body fingerstyle instrument. The model carried a black open pore finish and was fitted with Fishman electronics, placing it in the entry-to-mid tier of Cort's acoustic catalogue.
The AF590-MF-BOP was constructed with a dovetail neck joint and an African Mahogany (Okoume) top, back and sides — a tonewoods combination Cort described as producing a focused, midrange-rich character. The Mahogany (Palaquium) neck meets a Merbau fretboard carrying 20 frets at a 43mm (1 11/16") nut width, with dot inlays running the length of the board. Scale length is 648mm (25.5"). White binding trims the body, and open-gear tuners are fitted at the headstock. The Merbau bridge anchors the strings to the top. Onboard electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore undersaddle pickup paired with the Fishman Sonitone preamp system.
Owners requiring setup work, fret dressing, nut replacement, or help sourcing Merbau-compatible parts or Fishman Sonitone-compatible electronics should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier experienced with acoustic instruments.

What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
