Cort built the AD810-OP as part of the Standard Series, the brand's longest-running acoustic line, positioning it as an entry-level dreadnought aimed at beginners and hobbyists. The model carried an open pore finish, indicated by the "OP" suffix in its designation.
The AD810-OP was constructed around a spruce top braced with Advanced X-Bracing, with African Mahogany (Okoume) back and sides and a Mahogany (Palaquium) neck joined to the body via a dovetail neck joint. The fretboard and bridge were both Merbau, with dot inlays marking the positions across 20 frets. Scale length ran 643mm (25.3") and the nut measured 43mm (1 11/16") wide. Tuning was handled by die-cast tuners, and the guitar shipped with coated strings.
