Cort built the AF515-CE-OP as part of its Standard Series, positioning it as an electro-acoustic variant of the AF510. The Concert-body, single-cutaway configuration was designed to offer access to the upper register of the fingerboard alongside onboard electronics, making it suited for amplified performance as well as practice.
The guitar features a spruce top braced with Cort's Advanced X-Bracing pattern, paired with African Mahogany (Okoume) back and sides and a Mahogany (Palaquium) neck joined to the body via a dovetail neck joint. The Venetian cutaway is bound in black. The Merbau fretboard carries dot inlays across 20 frets at a 648mm (25.5") scale length, with die-cast tuners at the headstock and a Merbau bridge at the other end.
