Cort built the AF510-OP as part of its Standard Series, the brand's longest-running acoustic line, positioned as an entry and hobbyist tier offering a concert body format across a range of configurations. The AF510-OP carried an open pore finish and was aimed at players seeking a playable, conventionally constructed acoustic at an accessible level of the market.
The guitar was constructed with a dovetail neck joint and an Advanced X-Bracing pattern beneath a spruce top. Back and sides were African Mahogany (Okoume), with a Mahogany (Palaquium) neck.
