Cort built the AD-MINI-OP as part of its Standard Series, the brand's longest-running acoustic line. The model sat at the entry and hobbyist level of that series, taking the dreadnought format and scaling it down to a three-quarter size body for players who required a more compact instrument.
The guitar was constructed with a dovetail neck joint and Advanced X-Bracing under a spruce top. Back and sides were African Mahogany (Okoume), with a Mahogany (Palaquium) neck. The fretboard and bridge were both Merbau, fitted with dot inlays and a tiger acryl rosette. The nut width measured 43mm (1 11/16"), the scale length 578mm (22.8"), and the fretboard carried 19 frets. The finish was open pore. A gig bag was included with the instrument.
