The base plate is the foundation of the Floyd Rose Non-Fine Tuner system — it sits between the body and the rest of the bridge assembly, taking the full string tension load. When a plate cracks, warps, or strips out at the mounting points, the entire bridge loses its reference point and the system will not return to pitch reliably. This is a genuine Floyd Rose replacement plate in hardened steel with an antique bronze finish, specific to the Non-Fine Tuner series.
Fit is series-specific and this is where most ordering mistakes happen. Floyd Rose bridge components that look identical across generations are cut to different dimensions. A Non-Fine Tuner plate will not correctly mate with a standard fine-tuner system, and vice versa. Confirm the exact series installed in your guitar before ordering — not just the brand, but the specific system. If the bridge has fine-tuner barrels at the rear of each saddle, this is not the plate you need.
The plate is hardened steel throughout, not a softer alloy with a surface treatment. Hardened steel resists the slow deformation that causes poorly-spec'd base plates to shift under sustained string tension over years of use.
If you are not certain which Floyd Rose system is in your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm the correct part before you order.
