Description

This is the center nut clamping block for a Floyd Rose Original 7-string locking nut. The clamping block is the piece that sits between the saddle screw and the strings — when the saddle screw is tightened, the block presses the strings flat against the nut, locking them in place. If yours is stripped, cracked, or missing, nothing the bridge does matters: the strings will move at the headstock end regardless of how well the tremolo is set up.

The fit question here is whether your existing locking nut is a Floyd Rose Original 7-string unit. The block itself will not tell you whether the nut fits your neck — that is a separate problem — but the block has to match the nut it lives in. Floyd Rose makes 7-string nut hardware across different series (Original, Special, Pro), and the blocks are not interchangeable between them. Check the series stamped or printed on your existing nut before ordering.

The block is hardened steel in a black finish, matching the Original series hardware. Hardened steel is specified here because the clamping blocks take direct compressive load from the saddle screw every time the nut is locked — softer material rounds off the contact face over time and the lock becomes inconsistent.

If you are not certain this is the correct block for your nut, send us the make, model and year of your guitar and we will check it against what we have on the shelf.
