The Floyd Rose Original is a complete double-locking tremolo kit for 6-string electric guitar. One unit contains the bridge, saddles, locking nut, tremolo block, arm, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware. The locking nut and bridge saddle blocks clamp the string at both ends, which is why the system holds pitch through sustained dive-bombs and pull-ups where a standard vibrato will not. The FRT800 ships in a Satin Pearl finish.
String count and mounting style decide whether this part fits before anything else does. This is a 6-string unit — it will not carry a 7- or 8-string set. Beyond that, the guitar's existing body route, stud spacing, and neck angle all have to line up. If the guitar already has a recessed Floyd-style cavity, a swap is straightforward. If it has a top-mount tremolo or a hardtail, the body needs to be routed and the neck angle checked — that is a bench job, not a bolt-on swap. Measure your stud spacing and cavity depth before ordering.
The base plate, saddles, and screws are hardened steel. The tremolo block is nickel-plated brass. The arm is stainless steel. Springs are coiled steel. The parts are precision-machined in Germany.
