String count and mounting style decide whether this fits your guitar before anything else. This unit carries six strings — it will not work on a 7- or 8-string instrument. Beyond that, your guitar's existing route, stud spacing and neck angle determine whether this is a straight swap or a bench job. If you are replacing a recessed double-locking system, the rear cavity, stud spacing and neck angle all have to line up. If you are coming off a non-locking bridge, you are looking at a routing job, not a parts swap — the body will need to be cut to accept the block and the rear spring cavity.
The baseplate and saddles are hardened steel. The block is zinc. The arm is stainless steel, screw-in style. Springs and all fastening hardware are included. The locking nut comes in multiple width options — measure your nut slot width before selecting, and confirm the width matches what is in the source listing for the specific nut variant you order.
