A complete double-locking tremolo system with no fine tuners. The kit ships with the bridge plate, saddles, block, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and installation hardware — everything needed to put a Floyd Rose on a guitar that does not already have one, or to replace a worn-out system in full. Tuning adjustments are made at the saddle lock screws rather than at fine tuner barrels, which is how the original design ran before the fine tuner variant became standard.
String count and mounting style decide whether this unit fits your guitar. This is a 6-string bridge and will not carry seven or eight strings. Beyond string count, the critical question is what the guitar's body already has routed into it. A double-locking system sits in a rear-routed cavity and pivots on two studs; the existing stud spacing and cavity depth have to match. If you are pulling a non-locking bridge off a guitar that was never routed for a Floyd Rose, fitting this system is a routing job — the cavity has to be cut before the bridge drops in. Neck angle also affects how the bridge sits at playing height, and that needs to be checked before installation begins.
The baseplate and saddles are hardened steel. The block is zinc. The arm is stainless steel, screw-in style. Springs, claws and screws are included. Finish is chrome. The locking nut comes in the kit; nut width options exist across the range, so confirm the nut width that fits your neck before ordering.
