The base plate is the structural core of the Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo — every other component bolts to it. The knife edges are machined into this plate, and the knife edges are where the whole system pivots. When they round over from use, the bridge loses its return-to-pitch. No spring adjustment, no setup trick, no saddle swap fixes that. You replace the plate.

This plate is cut for the 1000 Series and nothing else. Saddles, sustain block, string-lock screws and tension plates from other Floyd Rose series are not interchangeable with it. If you are pulling a worn plate from a 1000 Series bridge, this is the direct replacement. If you are not certain which series your bridge is, pull the original plate and read the series markings before ordering — fitting the wrong plate means the rest of your hardware will not seat correctly.

Material is hardened steel with a nickel finish. Hardened steel is specified here because the knife edges have to survive repeated, high-stress contact with the pivot posts — softer material wears faster and rounds out sooner.
