This is the base plate for a Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo — the steel body that everything else mounts to: saddles, sustain block, string-lock screws, and tension plates. When a 1000 Series bridge stops returning to pitch and setup adjustments have stopped helping, the knife edges on the plate are usually the cause. They round over with use and once they go, the pivot point is gone. Replacing the plate restores a sharp, consistent edge to pivot against.
Fit on base plates is not flexible. The knife edges, saddle geometry and hardware cutouts on this plate are dimensioned for the 1000 Series. Saddles, blocks, string-lock hardware and tension plates from other Floyd Rose series are not interchangeable with it. If you are swapping out a worn plate, the replacement has to match the series and string count of the original — fitting parts from a different series to this plate will not work correctly.
The plate is hardened steel with an antique silver finish. Hardened steel at the knife edge is what resists wear in the first place; a softer plate rounds faster and shortens the service interval. This part carries the FR1TBPAS part number — use that to confirm you are looking at the right plate before ordering.
If you are not certain this is the correct plate for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will check it against what we have on the shelf.
