The base plate is the structural core of a Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo — saddles, intonation screws, sustain block, tension plates and mounting studs all anchor to it. When a 1000 Series bridge stops returning to pitch and tuning stability has been ruled out as a setup problem, the knife edges are usually the cause. They sit on this plate. Once they round over, the bridge cannot pivot cleanly against the posts, and no amount of spring adjustment or nut lubrication fixes that. The plate has to come out.

Fit is not flexible. This plate is cut for the 1000 Series and for six strings. The saddle slots, block pocket and hardware mounting points are specific to that series. Parts from other Floyd Rose series — Original, Special, Pro, 600 — are not interchangeable with 1000 Series components. If you are sourcing a replacement, the series and string count on your existing plate have to match this one exactly before anything else matters.

Material is hardened steel with an antique bronze finish. The part number is FR1TBPAB. If your existing plate shows a different prefix, stop and check the series before ordering.
