Ibanez built the AF75OLM as part of the AF Series Artcore hollow body electric line, positioning it as a full hollow body instrument within that range. The AF Series was Ibanez's dedicated Artcore platform for hollow and semi-hollow electrics, and the AF75 sat as a mid-tier offering within it.
The body was constructed entirely from Linden — top, back, and sides — while the set-in neck was made from Nyatoh, following the AF Artcore neck profile. The bound Walnut fretboard carried acrylic block inlays across 20 medium frets at a 305mm radius, with a 43mm nut width and a 628mm (24.7") scale length. Hardware was finished in chrome throughout, with a Gibraltar Performer bridge set at 10.5mm string spacing and a VT60 tailpiece. Pickup duties were handled by a pair of passive, ceramic-magnet Classic Elite humbucker pickups — one at the neck, one at the bridge. The guitar left the factory strung to standard E tuning with a .010–.052 gauge set.
Owners requiring setup work, fret attention, or sourcing of compatible replacement parts — including bridge saddles sized to the 10.5mm string spacing or a VT60-compatible tailpiece — should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier familiar with hollow body electrics.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
