Ibanez positioned the AF75GRGF within the AF Series as a hollow body electric guitar. It carried the Artcore designation, placing it in Ibanez's Artcore line of hollow and semi-hollow instruments.
The guitar was built with a linden top, back, and sides, paired with a set-in Nyatoh neck of the AF Artcore profile. The bound walnut fretboard featured acrylic block inlays and 20 medium frets across a 305mm radius, with a nut width of 43mm. The scale measured 628mm (24.7"). Hardware was finished in gold throughout, with a Gibraltar Performer bridge set at 10.5mm string spacing, a VT60 tailpiece, and Classic Elite humbucker pickups at both neck and bridge positions — each passive, ceramic-magnet units. The instrument left the factory strung with a .010–.052 gauge set in standard E tuning.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the Gibraltar Performer bridge and VT60 tailpiece are Ibanez-spec components; a guitar technician or qualified luthier can advise on compatible substitutes for either unit, and can verify fretboard radius and string spacing tolerances when fitting aftermarket hardware.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
