Ibanez built the AF75JBB as part of the AF Series Artcore line of hollow body electric guitars. It occupied a mid-tier position within the Artcore range, sharing the AF body platform and set-in neck construction common to that family.
The guitar was constructed with a Linden top, back and sides, paired with an AF Artcore Nyatoh set-in neck. The bound Walnut fretboard carried acrylic block inlays across 20 medium frets, with a 305mm radius and a 628mm (24.7") scale length. Nut width measured 43mm. The hardware suite — finished in chrome — comprised a Gibraltar Performer bridge with 10.5mm string spacing and a VT60 tailpiece. Both the neck and bridge positions were fitted with passive, ceramic Classic Elite humbucker pickups. The guitar left the factory strung with a .010–.052 gauge set in standard E tuning.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the Gibraltar Performer bridge accepts components dimensioned to that platform, and the Classic Elite pickups are standard humbucker-routed units. For setup adjustments, intonation work or parts sourcing, a qualified guitar technician will be best placed to advise on compatible replacements.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
