Ibanez produced the PGMM31WH as part of the PGM Signature Series, a line developed in association with guitarist Paul Gilbert. The PGMM designation placed this model within the compact, short-scale branch of the PGM family, offering the series' character in a reduced format. The white finish (WH suffix) was a standard colour option within the range.
