Ibanez built the UKC10 as an entry-level concert ukulele within its acoustic ukulele range, positioned as an accessible instrument for players at the start of their playing journey. The concert body format places it between soprano and tenor scales, offering a slightly fuller voice and longer fingerboard than a soprano while remaining compact.
The top, back, and sides are all sapele, paired with an okoume neck. The fretboard and bridge are purpleheart, a dense hardwood. White dot inlays mark the fretboard positions across 17 frets. The nut and saddle are plastic, and tuning is handled by chrome open-gear machines. The neck profile measures 35mm at the nut and carries a flat radius fretboard. String spacing at the bridge is 13mm, and the instrument is factory-strung to standard re-entrant tuning: 4G, 3C, 2E, 1A, with gauges .022 / .028 / .032 / .022. The scale length is 382mm, with a body length of 11 inches and a maximum body depth of 2¾ inches.
Owners sourcing replacement strings, nuts, saddles, or tuner hardware should verify dimensions against the measurements listed in this record and consult a qualified luthier or instrument technician for setup and fitting work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
