Ibanez built the PF15NT as part of its PF Series, a line positioned as an entry-level to mid-range acoustic offering within the broader Ibanez acoustic catalogue. The model was produced in a dreadnought body configuration and was finished in a Natural High Gloss.
The PF15NT was constructed with a spruce top and Nyatoh back and sides, paired with a Nyatoh neck. The fretboard and bridge were both Nandu Wood, marked with white dot inlays. The soundhole rosette featured a black and white multi-ring pattern. Hardware consisted of chrome die-cast tuners, with plastic nut and saddle components and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The guitar carried 20 frets, a 650mm scale length, and a nut width of 42mm. Neck dimensions were recorded as 21.5mm thickness at the first fret and 23.5mm at the seventh, with a 250mm radius fretboard.
