Ibanez built the PC15ECENT as part of the PF Series, positioning it as a cutaway grand concert acoustic-electric. The model carried a Natural High Gloss finish and was equipped with onboard electronics, placing it at the entry-to-mid level of Ibanez's acoustic range for players who needed amplified performance capability.
The PC15ECENT was constructed with a spruce top and nyatoh back, sides, and neck. The fretboard and bridge were nandu wood, with white dot inlays along the board. Hardware included chrome die-cast tuners, plastic nut and saddle, and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The electronics package combined an Ibanez undersaddle pickup with an AEQ-2T preamp featuring an onboard tuner, outputting via a standard 1/4" jack. The nut width measured 42mm, the fretboard radius 250mmR, and the instrument shipped strung with a .012–.053 gauge set at standard EADGBE tuning across 21 frets on a 634mm scale.
Owners requiring setup adjustments, nut or saddle replacement, or electronics service should consult a qualified guitar technician, who can advise on compatible parts given the instrument's plastic nut and saddle dimensions and standard undersaddle pickup format.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
