Ibanez produced the IJV50 as part of its Jampack series — a bundled acoustic guitar package aimed at entry-level players. The IJV50 itself was a dreadnought acoustic finished in Natural High Gloss.
The body was built with a spruce top over meranti back and sides. The neck, profiled in a V shape and made from nyatoh, joined a nandu wood fretboard carrying 20 frets with white dot inlays. The soundhole rosette was a water decal. At the nut, width measured 42mm, with a 650mm scale length and a 250mm fretboard radius. Neck thickness measured 20mm at the first fret and 21mm at the seventh. Chrome covered tuners handled tuning duties, with a plastic nut and plastic saddle. The nandu wood bridge was fitted with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins and left the factory strung with a .012–.053 gauge set at standard E-to-E tuning, with 11mm string spacing.
Owners seeking setup adjustments, nut or saddle work, or compatible replacement hardware should consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician, who can advise on parts that match the instrument's dimensions and construction.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
