Washburn built the WLO20SCE-O-U as part of the Woodline Series, positioning the Orchestra Cutaway as a mid-range acoustic-electric aimed at players who prioritised dynamic focus over low-end volume. The Orchestra body shape sat among Washburn's more intimate offerings within the line, and the cutaway configuration extended upper-fret access without departing from that tonal character.
The top is solid Sitka spruce, braced with Cathedral Peaked Scalloped-X bracing described by Washburn as low mass, and bound in maple. Back and sides are Pau Ferro, paired with an Ovangkol fretboard and Ovangkol bridge. The neck is satin mahogany fitted with a two-way truss rod, a Graphtech Nubone nut at 1-11/16", and dot inlays across 20 frets on a 25-5/16" scale. Tuning is handled by chrome die-cast tuners with Ebonite buttons. Electronics are a Fishman Presys II 301T system with an integrated tuner, giving the owner volume, bass, treble, and phase controls on-board. The guitar left production strung with D'Addario EXP light gauge phosphor bronze strings and carries a gloss finish with a Washburn Parquet rosette and chrome hardware throughout.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including the Graphtech Nubone nut, Ovangkol saddle, or Fishman Presys II 301T preamp components — should confirm exact dimensions against the instrument itself and consult a qualified guitar technician for installation and setup work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
