Description

Washburn positioned the WG7S-O-U within its Harvest Series as a Grand Auditorium acoustic guitar, pairing a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides. The Grand Auditorium body shape and gloss finish gave the instrument a traditional acoustic presence suited to players seeking a solid-top instrument at the Harvest Series tier.

The solid spruce top was supported by quarter-sawn scalloped Sitka spruce bracing, a construction approach associated with enhanced note clarity and tonal definition across the instrument's register. The satin mahogany neck was fitted with a two-way truss rod and an ovangkol fretboard spanning 20 frets, with dot inlays and a 1-11/16" ABS nut at a 25-1/2" scale. Ovangkol was also used for the bridge. The Washburn Heritage rosette provided a distinctive visual detail, while chrome diecast tuners and chrome hardware completed the appointments. The instrument shipped with a D'Addario EXP-16 light phosphor bronze string set.

Owners requiring setup adjustments, fret work, or compatible replacement parts — including bridge saddle, nut, or tuner hardware — should consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician familiar with Grand Auditorium-format instruments.

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
