Washburn built the PXV26CK-D-U as part of its Parallaxe Series, positioning it as a high-output electric guitar centred on an offset V-shaped body with a chamfered edge. The headstock design drew on the 1985 Washburn HM Katana as its reference point.
The mahogany body pairs with a glue-in hard maple neck and an ebony fretboard carrying 24 frets and a Parallaxe inlay at the 12th fret. The 25.5" / 648mm scale runs to a 1-11/16" / 43mm graphite nut. Bridge duties fall to a Tune-O-Matic with string-through anchoring, and Grover 18:1 tuners handle pitch. The guitar ships with the Buzz Feiten Tuning System. Pickups are a pair of USA-made Seymour Duncan units — a 59 in the neck position and a Custom-5 in the bridge — selected by a 3-way switch. The single-volume / single-tone control circuit includes a coil-split function. All hardware is finished in black; the body carries a Carbon Black matte finish. Factory strings are D'Addario XL120 (9-42). The instrument was supplied with a custom-formed gig bag.
