Washburn built the PXV260CK-O-U as part of its Parallaxe Series, positioning it as a high-output shred-oriented electric guitar. The model centred on an offset V chambered-edge body design paired with a set neck construction and a reverse katana-inspired headstock.
The mahogany body features a deep body carve intended to ease access to the upper register of the 24-fret Ovangkol fretboard, which runs a full 25-1/2" scale across two complete octaves. The hard rock maple neck carries a Parallaxe inlay at the 12th fret. Electronics comprise a Duncan Designed HB-101 at the neck and a Duncan Designed Distortion HB-103 at the bridge, selected via a 3-way switch and governed by a single volume and a push/pull tone control wired for coil-split. Black hardware throughout includes a Tune-O-Matic bridge and a string-through-body configuration. The instrument was strung with D'Addario strings and shipped with a custom-formed gig bag. The Carbon Black finish is a matte application.
