Washburn built the PXS10EDLXTBM-D-U as part of its Parallaxe Series, a line positioned toward high-output, technically demanding rock and metal playing. The Parallaxe guitars were developed around a feature set intended to eliminate the need for aftermarket modification, placing the PXS models at the more specification-intensive end of Washburn's electric guitar range.
The guitar is constructed with a mahogany double-cut solid body and a maple neck, topped with an ebony fretboard carrying 24 frets. Inlays are small dots, with a dedicated Parallaxe inlay at the 12th fret. The 25-1/2" scale runs to a 43 mm graphite nut. Electronics consist of an EMG USA 85N in the neck position and an EMG 81B at the bridge — an H/H configuration controlled by a single volume, single tone, and a 3-way toggle selector. Hardware throughout is black chrome, with a tune-o-matic bridge and Black Locking Grover Exclusive 18:1 tuners. The guitar ships strung with D'Addario EXL 120 light gauge strings, and the body carries a matte finish in Flame Trans Black.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the tune-o-matic bridge accepts standard tune-o-matic saddles and posts, and the EMG active pickup cavities follow EMG's standard routing dimensions. For setup, intonation, or hardware replacement work, a qualified guitar technician will be best placed to advise on compatible components.
