Washburn built the HD100SWEK-U as part of its Heritage 100 Series, an all-solid-wood acoustic-electric dreadnought positioned at the upper tier of the Heritage line. The model carried the full-size dreadnought body style and was finished in Natural Gloss.
The instrument was constructed throughout with solid tonewoods: a torrefied solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides. A rosewood fingerboard completed the primary build materials. The guitar shipped with a GCDNDLX deluxe case. An onboard electronics system made the HD100SWEK-U ready for amplified use without modification.
