Description

The Schecter 6218 Pasadena Plus-7 is a seven-string bridge pickup built for the bridge position only. It runs 4-conductor wiring with a split-coil design, which means you can run it full-humbucking or split to a single coil without rewiring the guitar. Output measures 16.0k ohms. The magnet is Alnico V, direct-coupled to the pole pieces. The baseplate is solid nickel/silver.

Two things decide whether this part fits your guitar: pole spacing and string count. This pickup is spaced at 61mm Traditional Spacing and is wound for seven strings — it does not drop into a six-string or eight-string route. Bridge pickups also sit at a wider string spread than neck pickups, so do not assume a neck-spaced pickup covers the same ground. Before ordering, confirm your existing route takes 61mm spacing at the bridge, that your body is drilled for seven pole pieces, and whether your guitar is direct-mount or ring-mount — the two mounting styles need different hardware.

The pole pieces are seven nickel-plated carbon steel units at .1875" diameter, with seven matching #5 slot pan head Phillips screws on the adjustable side. Carbon steel pole pieces tend to fail at the plating before the magnetic structure goes — if your current pickup's poles are pitting or the screws have seized, that is the failure mode to check on a used unit.

If you are not certain this is the correct pickup for your guitar, send us the make, model, and year and we will confirm it fits before you order.
