Schecter positioned the Orleans Studio as an acoustic-electric within their Orleans line, built with a set-neck construction and fitted with onboard electronics for players who required amplified performance. The guitar was manufactured in China and offered in a Satin See Thru Black finish.
The body and neck were constructed from mahogany, topped with a solid cedar top and bound with rosewood multi-ply binding. The rosewood fretboard carried mother of pearl dot inlays across 20 medium frets on a 16" radius, with a 25.5" scale length and a bone nut measuring 1.693" wide. Schecter specified a Thin 'C' neck profile, measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth. The two-way adjustable truss rod accepts a 5/32" allen key. The rosewood bridge was fitted with a bone saddle and Graph Tech TUSQ pins. Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners and black chrome hardware completed the build. Electronics consisted of a Fishman Sonicore piezo bridge pickup paired with a Fishman Isys+ preamp, offering volume control, an onboard tuner, bass and treble adjustment, and a phase switch. The SGR-13AC case was sold separately.
