Schecter built the Zacky Vengeance ZV 6661 as a signature model within its artist series, positioned around the playing requirements and aesthetic preferences of the signature artist. The instrument carried item number 311 and was finished in Aged Natural Satin Black Burst, designated ANSBB. Construction was set-neck, with a swamp ash body, three-piece mahogany neck, and ebony fretboard bound in black multi-ply binding. The flat-top body featured a bevel edge. The guitar was manufactured in South Korea.
The neck was cut to a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, with a 14" (355mm) radius fretboard carrying 22 X-Jumbo frets. The nut was a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq at 1.653" (42mm) width, and the truss rod was a two-way adjustable unit accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut. Scale length ran 24.75" (628mm). Inlays were platinum dots with a ZV Blade inlay at the twelfth fret. Hardware throughout was finished in distressed chrome, including Grover tuners and a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic bridge paired with a T1Z tailpiece. Pickups were a matched pair of Seymour Duncan JBs — the SH-4B at the bridge and SH-4N at the neck — wired to a volume/volume/tone (push-pull) layout with a three-way selector switch and metal knurled knobs. The guitar shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 (set #2221). The SGR-3S case was sold separately.
