Schecter built the Zacky Vengeance 6661 (Item 207) as a signature model within its artist series, finished in Satin Black with a 6661 graphic and appointed in Distressed Chrome hardware throughout. The guitar was constructed with a set-neck joint, a mahogany body with a flat top and bevel edge, and a three-piece mahogany neck — a configuration Schecter positioned toward players seeking a traditional, resonant platform with a modern playability profile.
The neck carries a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, with a 24.75" (628mm) scale and a 14" (355mm) radius rosewood fretboard fitted with 22 X-Jumbo frets. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq at 1.653" (42mm) width, and the truss rod is a two-way adjustable unit accessed with a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. Inlays are MOP and Abalone Crown with a ZV Blade at the twelfth fret. Electronics comprise a pair of Seymour Duncan JBs — an SH-4B at the bridge and an SH-4N at the neck — routed through a Volume/Volume/Tone (push-pull)/3-Way Switch control layout with metal knurled knobs. The bridge is a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic paired with a T1Z tailpiece, and tuning machines are Grover. Creme 1-ply binding finishes the body edges. The guitar shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings; a case was sold separately (SGR-3S).
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including the TonePros bridge saddles, Graph Tech nut, or Seymour Duncan pickup rings — should consult a qualified guitar technician to confirm fit against the instrument's actual dimensions before ordering.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
