Dunlop produced the KH95-U as a signature Cry Baby wah pedal developed in association with Kirk Hammett. The unit sat within the broader Cry Baby signature series, distinguished by custom graphics and custom tread from the standard production models.
The KH95-U operates on 9 volts DC at a current draw of 4 mA, making it compatible with standard pedal board power supplies of that specification. The circuit runs a low pass filter sweeping 300 Hz to 380 Hz at heel-down position and a high pass filter sweeping 1.4 kHz to 1.8 kHz at toe-down, with maximum gain figures of +17 dB and +21 dB at those respective positions. Input impedance is rated at 680 kΩ and output impedance at 4.7 kΩ. Bypass is hardwire. The unit is described as delivering a thick top end and full dynamic range.
Owners requiring internal component service, pot replacement, or switch work on this unit should consult a qualified guitar or electronics technician familiar with wah pedal circuitry.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
