Description

Dunlop produced the GCB95-U as the standard-line entry in its long-running Cry Baby wah series, positioning it as the baseline expression pedal against which its other Cry Baby variants were measured.

The pedal was built around a Fasel® inductor, the component Dunlop identified as central to the unit's character. Dunlop described the resulting sound as featuring a focused high end and an aggressive wah voicing. The GCB95-U draws 900µA of current, accepts an input level up to -8.0 dBV at 800 kΩ input impedance, and delivers output up to +10 dBV at 10 kΩ output impedance. The low-pass filter operates across a 350 Hz to 450 Hz range; the high-pass filter spans 1.5 kHz to 2.5 kHz. Heel-down maximum gain is 19.5 dB with a signal-to-noise ratio of 98 dBV; toe-down maximum gain is 19 dB with a signal-to-noise ratio of 89 dBV.
