Description

Dunlop produced the FFM3-U Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini Distortion as a compact-format variant of the JHF1 Fuzz Face, positioned to deliver the same fuzz character in a reduced housing. It carried the Jimi Hendrix designation within Dunlop's Fuzz Face Mini line.

The pedal offered up to 55 dB of gain and operated on a 9-volt DC power supply, drawing 3.4 mA. Input impedance measured 10 kΩ; output impedance varied with the volume control, running below 16 kΩ at maximum volume and up to 66 kΩ at mid volume — a characteristic relevant to signal chain placement and interaction with downstream pedals. Bypass was implemented as true hardwire. Convenience features included a status LED, an AC power jack, and a battery door, none of which appeared on the original full-size reference design.
