DigiTech positioned the DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay as a feature-rich analog delay unit built around a double-wide chassis. It sat in the DOD effects line as a pedal offering over one second of 100% analog delay repeats alongside tap tempo, subdivisions, and tails functionality.
The Rubberneck was built into an all-metal chassis measuring 5.0" (L) x 4.68" (W) x 2.17" (H) and weighing 1.12 lbs. Double concentric knobs provided independent control over modulation rate and depth, and over gain and tone of the delay signal. The control set includes Time, Repeats, Level, Speed, Depth, Tone, Gain, Tap Ratio, a Tails On/Off switch, and an Effect On/Off switch that doubled as the Rubbernecking control, along with dedicated Rubberneck Rate, Regen Adjust, and Tempo/Regen controls. Individual clear mini knobs for the extended features also functioned as multi-color LED status indicators. Connectivity includes a 1/4" instrument input, a 1/4" instrument output, a 1/4" TRS send/return loop for inserting external effects into the delay path, and a 1/4" TRS input for an external three-button footswitch. The unit features true bypass switching and runs on a 9V DC power supply.
