Cort built the Jade Classic as part of its Jade series, positioning it as a smaller-body acoustic-electric aimed at players seeking a departure from conventional styling. The Pastel Yellow Open Pore finish was one of three colours introduced alongside Pastel Pink and Sky Blue Open Pore, each paired with pearloid appointments to reference a vintage rock and roll aesthetic.
The body is constructed entirely from mahogany — top, back, and sides — joined to a mahogany neck via a dovetail neck joint. A Venetian cutaway provides upper-fret access across the 20-fret laurel fretboard. Scale length runs 24.75" (628mm) with a 42mm nut width. Bracing follows an Advanced X pattern. The laurel bridge and vintage-style machineheads complete the hardware complement, while a pearloid pickguard and matching pearloid headstock treatment carry through the period-inspired visual theme. Onboard electronics are handled by the Cort CE304T system.
