Description

These are the two top-mounting screws that secure a Floyd Rose Original locking nut to the headstock face. If one has stripped, snapped, or gone missing, the nut clamp loses clamping force and the guitar will not stay in tune regardless of how well the bridge is set up. This is a like-for-like hardware replacement — steel, black finish, Original series.

Before ordering, confirm you are running a Floyd Rose Original locking nut, not a Special, 1000 series, or licensed copy. The mounting screw footprint is not shared across all Floyd Rose nut variants. If the existing screws are in hand, compare thread diameter and length before fitting new ones. Locking nut fit overall depends on neck width at the nut slot and fretboard radius — the wrong nut buzzes on the outer strings or crowds them toward the fretboard edge — but for this hardware item specifically, the critical question is whether the nut body itself is Original series.

Material is steel with a black finish. The failure mode on these is usually a stripped thread from over-torquing during string changes, or corrosion in humid environments working the screw loose over time. Replacing both at once is the right call — if one has gone, the other has taken the same abuse.

If you are not certain which nut is fitted to your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will point you to the correct part.
