Ibanez built the AS7312TCD as part of the AS Series hollow body line, positioning it as a 12-string electric archtop within the Artcore family. The model carried the AS Series designation and was finished in Transparent Cherry Red.
The guitar was constructed with a Linden top, back, and sides, and fitted with an AS Artcore Nyatoh set-in neck. The bound Walnut fretboard featured acrylic block inlays across 22 medium frets at a 305mm radius, with a 43mm nut width and a 628mm (24.7") scale length. The ART-12 bridge and ART-12 tailpiece were paired with Chrome hardware throughout. Pickup duties were handled by a Classic Elite ceramic humbucker at the neck and a matching Classic Elite ceramic humbucker at the bridge, both passive. String spacing at the bridge measured 10.4mm, and the guitar left the factory strung to standard 12-string tuning with a paired gauging of .010/.010, .013/.013, .017/.008, .026/.012, .036/.018, and .046/.026.
Owners seeking replacement parts — including ART-12 compatible bridges, tailpieces, or 12-string-specific hardware — or requiring setup and intonation work on this instrument should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier familiar with 12-string hollow body instruments.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
