Ibanez built the JEM77PBFP as part of the JEM Signature Series, positioning it as a high-specification electric guitar distinguished by its Blue Floral Pattern finish. The JEM line was developed around a demanding performance specification, and the JEM77PBFP carried that brief through in its hardware and construction choices.
The body is American Basswood, paired with a five-piece Maple/Walnut Wizard neck reinforced with KTS Titanium rods. The Maple fretboard carries the series' signature Tree of Life inlay across its 24 jumbo frets, which received Premium fret edge treatment. Neck dimensions are 43mm at the nut, 58mm at the 24th fret, with a 400mmR radius; thickness runs 18mm at the first fret and 20mm at the twelfth. The Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge is set at 10.8mm string spacing and a 648mm / 25.5-inch scale. Pickups are a DiMarzio Gravity Storm humbucker at the neck, a DiMarzio Evolution single-coil in the middle position, and a second DiMarzio Gravity Storm humbucker at the bridge — all passive Alnico units. Hardware throughout is finished in Cosmo black. The guitar left the factory strung with D'Addario EXL120s (.009–.042) in standard E tuning.
Owners seeking replacement parts — including Edge-Zero II compatible components, DiMarzio pickup replacements, or KTS Titanium rod sourcing — or requiring setup and fretwork should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with double-locking tremolo systems.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
