Ibanez built the GSR100EXBK as an entry point in the SR (Soundgear) Series bass line, finished in Black. It carried the design language and playability priorities of the broader SR family into an accessible tier of the range.
The instrument is constructed with a Poplar body and a Maple neck designated the GSR4 profile, topped with a Jatoba fretboard dressed with white dot inlays and medium frets. The 34" scale (864mm) runs at a 305mm radius. Nut width measures 41mm (A), with the fretboard widening to 62mm at the 22nd fret (B). Neck thickness sits at 21mm at the first fret (C) and 22mm at the 12th fret (D). A B10 bridge with 19mm string spacing carries the strings to a PPD4 passive bridge pickup. All hardware is finished in Chrome.
