Cort built the KX100 as the entry-level model of its KX Series, positioning it to extend the line to a broader range of players while retaining the build quality and attention to detail associated with the series.
The KX100-BKM is built on a basswood body with a bolt-on hard maple neck. The jatoba fretboard runs 24 frets across a 400 mm (15.75") radius, over a 648 mm (25.5") scale length. Hardware is finished in black throughout, including die-cast tuners and a hardtail bridge. Powersound pickups feed into a straightforward control layout: one volume, one tone, and a three-way toggle switch.
Owners requiring setup adjustments, fret work, or hardware replacement should consult a qualified guitar technician, who can confirm compatibility with standard bolt-on neck pocket dimensions and hardtail bridge spacing before sourcing replacement parts.

What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
