Description

Washburn built the PXS29-7FRDSAM-D-U as part of its Parallaxe Series, a line positioned around extended-range and modern-specification electric guitars. This particular instrument is a seven-string variant within that series, finished in Dark Swamp Ash Matte with a carved double-cutaway body and a set neck construction.

The body back and sides are swamp ash, paired with an ebony fingerboard — a combination that reflects the series' emphasis on articulate response and playing feel. The carved top and set neck joint are defining structural choices of this model. No case was included with the instrument.

Owners seeking setup work, fret service, or compatible replacement parts — particularly for a seven-string platform with a set neck — should consult a qualified guitar technician, who will be best placed to advise on string spacing, nut dimensions, and any hardware sourcing specific to this configuration.

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
