Schecter built the E-1 SLS Elite as a high-specification neck-through instrument positioned at the upper tier of the E-1 line. Constructed in South Korea, it combined a swamp ash body with a flamed maple top and an ivory single-ply binding, finished in Antique Fade Burst. The neck-through-body construction incorporated an Ultra Access heel joint, and the multi-ply maple, walnut, and padauk neck was further reinforced with carbon fiber rods.
The 25.5-inch scale ebony fretboard carried 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets across a 12-to-16-inch compound radius, with abalone offset/reverse dot inlays and matching abalone side dots. Neck thickness measured .748 inches at the first fret and .787 inches at the twelfth, conforming to Schecter's Ultra Thin 'C' profile. Nut duties were handled by an Ernie Ball Compensated Nut at 1.653 inches (42mm), and tuning was managed by Schecter locking tuners. The bridge was a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic paired with a T1Z tailpiece, finished in black hardware throughout. Electronics comprised a Fishman Fluence Modern ceramic-magnet humbucker at the bridge and a Fishman Fluence Modern alnico-magnet humbucker at the neck — both active, drawing from a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. The control layout offered a volume and tone knob (each push-pull) and a 3-way pickup selector, with metal knurled knobs secured by set screws. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings.
