Keeley positioned the KWSDELAY-U Delay Workstation as a dual DSP processor unit combining delay and reverb processing in a compact enclosure. It occupied a creative utility role in Keeley's effects line, offering a broad palette of time-based and spatial effects within a single pedal.

The Delay Workstation ran two independent DSP engines. The delay side offered vintage slapback, multi-head tape echo, warm analog-style delay, rhythmic delay, pitch delay, and a ducking delay mode — the last of which attenuated the wet signal during played notes and allowed echoes to fill in afterward. The reverb side provided spring, plate, chamber, hall, shimmer, and flanged reverb patches, along with two delay types within the reverb bank suitable for ping-pong and rhythmic patterns. A Morph control applied variations to reverb patches, including spring tension, shimmer, and random flanging effects. The two engines could be combined, pairing delay types with reverb types simultaneously.
